Group Financial Controller

The EuroTech Group Plc is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of hi-tech printed circuit boards (PCBs) and high precision hermetic metal packages and associated components for the electronics industry.

We are looking for a Financial Controller who will report to the Managing Director and be based in Exmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for management of the Finance Department, production of monthly management accounts, financial management and financial accounting for 3 manufacturing companies across 3 sites in East Devon and Dorset and 1 EU based warehouse.

The main responsibilities for this role are:

– Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of monthly management accounts.

– Supervising, supporting and developing the 6-person finance team by providing guidance and leadership as well as ensuring compliance and accuracy.

–  Control of nominal ledgers and preparation of journal entries including all control accounts and month end procedures.

– Supporting and managing internal and external audit requirements.

– Preparing and presenting monthly and annual accounts to the Senior Management Team.

– Ensuring all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations. Stay up to date with legislation changes and keep the Senior   Management Team informed.

– Multi country VAT returns

– Supervising the stocktakes and ensure there is good control over the stock.

THE PERSON

We are looking for a qualified or experienced accountant with management experience. You should have:

– In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping.

– Proficiency in excel and accountancy software.

– Sets high professional standards and the ability to support and motivate staff to deliver results.

– Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.

– Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to engage with non-financial managers.

– Experience of organisation of month end management accounting processes with tight timescales.

– The successful candidate may not necessarily have experience in all areas but we are looking for someone who is proactive, quick to learn and is a self- starter who can progress and develop in the role.
